Wonderful, book early
A fantastic experience. Only advice: book months ahead as permits sell out. Our guide Robert was a walking encyclopedia.

A guided loop through the capital's seven historic hills: the UNESCO-listed Kasubi Tombs, the Uganda Museum, Namirembe and Rubaga cathedrals, the Gaddafi National Mosque (climb the minaret for the best view in the city), Independence Monument and the wonderfully chaotic Owino market. Lunch is a proper Ugandan buffet; the afternoon ends with a Rolex-making lesson from a street vendor.
Hotel pick-up 8:30 am; full-day guided tour by private vehicle with museum, mosque, tombs, cathedral and market stops; drop-off around 6 pm.

Everything ran like clockwork — the guide's knowledge was extraordinary and the moment with the wildlife left us speechless. Worth every shilling.

From airport pick-up to the last drop-off, communication was superb. The lodges chosen were exactly as described.
